Still not convinced the U.S. needs torte reform? Read on. A Detroit-area lawyer has sued Procter & Gamble when his teeth turned brown after using Crest Pro-Health mouthwash.

However, after his law firm filed a class-action lawsuit a month ago in federal court in Detroit, attorney Mark Rossman removed himself as the lead plaintiff in the case. He was replaced by a 52-year-old Saginaw woman, Leslie McQuillan.

His law partner, Gerard Mantese, says Mr. Rossman doesn’t “want to be the story.” He says they heard from dozens of other mouthwash users after news stories about the case.

P&G is fighting the lawsuit and says 99.9% of users have not complained of brown stains.
